Born and raised in Maryland, Aja Hannah is a freelance writer, traveler, and mama. She believes in the Oxford comma, cheap flights, and a daily dose of chocolate.
She writes for trade and regional publications on subjects of conservation, mental health, business, and travel. In 2013, she published the young adult novel Zarconian Island with indie publisher Curiosity Quills. In that same year, she won the Columbia Writers Association award for creative nonfiction for a separate piece. She earned her B.A. with honors in English and journalism in 2011.
